So, we’re going to go dark for a minute. Darkness is part of living and since we are purveyors of life and light, it’s only natural that we talk about the polar opposite of that.
We’re not going to call out names or situations here, but more than once we’ve been called upon by those who’ve lost their loved ones who were deeply interested in growing. Growing was a major part of that heritage and suddenly, that partner feels entirely lost without the ability or inherent knowledge to grow.
We are honestly pained that we even find ourselves in this position, but that doesn’t mean we’ll shy away from the subject. All we can honestly say is that we are truly sorry and hope in the deepest sense that you can continue to find meaning in life. This is the most important thing we have in life, to realize that we are captains of our own vessel and we can steer the ship wherever we choose.
We don’t talk about the “soul level” depth of growing here much, but truly, this hobby operates at that level. Growing is an excellent way to get to a fulfilling destination, far more rewarding than many other things can be. On a regular basis, we are rewarded with new life and also confirmation that we’ve learned enough.
But, knowledge and know-how doesn’t happen overnight. What’s far more important in this situation is to take a moment and right the ship. Where you go is a consideration, but it’s hardly the pressing thing. The first things you need to do are get your crew, stock your provisions and make sure you’re sea worthy. Lastly give thought to where the compass points. What was doesn’t always have to be and you should give yourself opportunity to be reborn in new light.
If we were to structure a path forward with growing, it’s first to understand that you will never know everything, all at once. Give yourself time, grace and circumstance. This is the same path of the beginner gardener, who suddenly finds themselves in the position of having to know all these things. If your path is growing, just keep walking down the path of learning how to grow and eventually, you’ll find yourself in the diverse meadow.
This is the fairest and most soulful way we can cast this situation. We deeply feel for your loss and we’re grateful for the opportunity to use our words to help right the ship. May your remaining days of sailing be full of gorgeous sunsets, which will outlast growing for beauty and fulfillment into perpetuity.
